These two illustrations carry a very important meaning to the author because they were the trigger to the a whole series of illustrations of utopian cities that Mano has recently been creating that explore the connection between past and future, reality and dream.
They represent the epiphany of the author in the moment he was walking alongside the Abbey of Neumunster and by looking up he saw the walls of the Fortification of Vauban and the buildings of the city of Luxembourg merging with letters, spaceships and new buildings.
A little bit about Mano : Mano is a Portuguese creator from Lisbon currently based in Luxembourg. It was many years ago through graffiti that he started creating in a more methodological and intense rhythm and then in the beginning of 2019 he decided to do a pause on his architect career to dedicated himself fully to his personal creations but. Mano has created a diversified body of work though different media and supports aiming to connect architecture, letters and graffiti with the oneiric, utopian and metaphysical.
